A masterpiece of engineering

87-metre bridge linking two villages

In the Turkish province of Erzincan, the residents of two villages can finally visit each other again after the only bridge over the river connecting them collapsed.

Despite extremely poor weather conditions, the new bridge was installed in just 30 days over the Tercan reservoir. The 2.25 metre wide walking surface of the bridge has been made with extremely weather-resistant African hardwood. Huck nets have been used to provide protection at the side of the bridge.
